Ko tētahi o ngā hanga e toru o te matū. Ka rite te āhua o te wē ki te ipu e pupuri ana i taua wē, ā, ka papatahi te mata. Ka taea hoki te wē te riringi. Kāore e noho pūmau ngā ngota o tētahi wē, pērā i ō te totoka, engari kāore hoki e māhorahora te nukunuku o ngā ngota, pērā i ō te haurehu. Mā te whakawera i tētahi wē e koropupū ai, e whakaeto ai rānei, ā, ka huri hei haurehu. Mā te whakamātao i te wē e huri ai hei totoka.
One of the three states of matter. A liquid takes on the shape of the container which holds it, and forms a level surface. A liquid can also be poured. The atoms of a liquid do not occupy fixed positions as in a solid, but they do not have total freedom of movement as in a gas. Heating a liquid will either result in boiling or evaporation, and changes a liquid into a gas. Cooling a liquid changes it into a solid.
