Ina tuhia he rārangi huri amio i tētahi kupu, koia te hanga o taua kupu. Ko te hanga o te kupu tētahi tino āwhina i te tangata kia aunoa tana pānui i taua kupu, arā, kia noho tangata whenua taua kupu ki te pūmahara o te tangata, kia noho hei kupu āhukahuka ki a ia.
If a line is drawn around the outline of a word, that is said to be the shape of that word. The shape of a word helps a person to unconsciously read that word, whereby the word is embedded in their mind as a ‘sight word’.
