Ina makaia tētahi mea (pērā i te pōro), ko te ara ka whāia e taua mea, ka kīia ko tōna ara whiu. I muri i te tōpana maka, ko te tō ā-papa, koia anake te tōpana ka pā ki taua mea, nō reira ka tau te mea i makaia ki te whenua ā tōna wā.
If an object (such as a ball) is thrown, the path that it follows is called its trajectory. Subsequent to the throwing force, the only force that acts on the object is gravity, so that in time the thrown object will come to rest on the ground.
