I ētahi wā, kāore e mārama ana ngā kīpaki ki te rāwaho, nā runga i tana tauhou ki taua horopaki, ki taua rōpū rānei. Ka tino rangona te kīpaki i ngā kōrero ā-waha, kāore i te kōrero ā-tuhi.

Words or a type of language which is very informal, and used in particular contexts or amongst people from a particular group. At times, slang will not be understood by an outsider who is unfamiliar to the context or the group. Slang is predominantly heard in oral language, and not often used in written language.
